Statement of Faith

Summary:

We believe that God loves us so much that He sent His son Jesus to die for us to save us from our sins (John 3:16). God also wants us to be healthy, holy, and living in peace.  We believe Jesus is our ultimate healer and it is through Jesus’ mighty healing, he uses us, as counselors, to help in emotional, psychological, behavioral, and relational healing.

Detailed Statement of Belief:

The Trinity

We believe that there is only one God, who exists in three persons, the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit. (John 1:1; 2 Corinthians 13:14; Mark 1:9-11; John 17:20-23; Isaiah 43:10-11; Genesis 1:1; Ephesians 4:5-6)

 The Father

We believe that God, the Father created the heavens and the earth.  He created men and women in His own image and how much He loves us, His creation. (Genesis 1:1, John 3:16)

The Son

We believe that Jesus is both God and man and that He came to die on the cross so we can have eternal life and healing. (John 3:16; Luke 19:10; 1 John 3:8; Isaiah 53:5)

The Holy Spirit

We believe that God the Father sent The Holy Spirit to indwell in humans to show us the ways of the Lord and how to lead godly lives. (Acts 1:15-16; 1 Corinthians 6:19-20; Romans 8:26-27).

The Word of God

We believe that the Bible is the true Word of God, inspired from God Himself and is infallible.  The Bible lives forever and cannot be added to, subtracted from, or changed to meet the whims of society. (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 1 Thessalonians 2:13)

The Fall of Man

We believe that God created us to be sinless and walk in Holiness with the Father.  Sin came into the world when humans decided to be disobedient to God and disregard His instructions.  When humanity chose to sin, it completely separated us spiritually from the Father. (Genesis 2:17; Genesis 3:6; Romans 5:12-19)

Salvation

We believe that God, the Father, sent His only Son to die on the cross so that we may have eternal life in Heaven and be saved from eternal damnation.  That we must believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and no other to receive His salvation and we have a new life in Jesus.  All of us have sinned and are in the need for salvation and there must be a shedding of blood to redeem our sinful nature.  (John 3:16; Titus 3:3-7; Ephesians 2:8-10; Acts 4:12; John 3:3)
